Sharing the Faith with Friends is a book discussion group that meets monthly. If you enjoy reading or sharing faith stories with other Christians, please join us. The July gathering of Sharing the Faith with Friends will be at Ken and Sally Roth’s house, 511 S. North Shore Dr. on Saturday, July 24 at  7:00 pm. We will discuss 90 Minutes in Heaven by Don Piper. Prayer Gathering: You are invited to attend our Prayer Gathering in the sanctuary at 6:30 pm the last Sunday of each month (July 25). Prayers will be offered for the sick, our families, our community and our world.

Ladies Night Out: Ladies Night Out will be on the third Sunday evening, (July 18). We will meet at 6:00 pm at the church to carpool to the Ribeye in Champaign.

Adult Bible Study Opportunities: Choose one, two, or three studies:

Women’s Afternoon: The first Thursday of the month (July 1) at 1pm, continuing to look at the Gospel of Saint John.  

Adult Evening Studies: The first Monday evenings (July 5) at 7:15 pm, a study of the book of Saint John and the third Monday evenings (July 19) for the study of the book of Genesis, beginning at 7:15pm. Both of these are at Hilda Pfiester’s home. Call 586-5813 for directions.

Women’s Evening: The fourth Thursday of  the month (July 22) at 7pm. This month we will be at the home of Ruth Morin, 201 S. Meadowhill Lane. Please call her at 586-5959 if you need directions.

The Lutheran World Relief Quilting Group:  Meets every Monday morning from 9 to 12. We have a wonderful group of women who get together to assemble quilts as well as baby layettes, school kits and health kits for Lutheran World Relief. LWR is a worldwide organization that distributes these items all over the world where the need is the greatest. We always welcome newcomers to the group and sewing ability is NOT a requirement because there is something for everyone to do. Last October we shipped 551 quilts & blankets, 207 layettes, 180 school kits and 257 health kits to LWR. The Knitting and Crochet Group: Meet on the first and third Tuesday of the month from 9 to 11 am. The upcoming dates are June 1 and 15.  We have a wonderful group and we always welcome newcomers of any skill level.  If you don't have your own project to work on, we have patterns to make much needed items for local charities.  Recently, we delivered 12 hats, 3 baby sweaters, and 5 scarves to Crisis Nursery and have made many beautiful afghans for nursing homes. Special thank you to those who have recently donated yarn.
