LCM Music Ministry

The Bible says: “Let everything that breathes praise the Lord!” Have you ever considered serving God by joining a choir? We want to invite you to join one of the choirs at the Lutheran Church of Mahomet. Our musical groups are divided by age and interests. We are certain that you will find a choir that will help you share your gifts and talents with us. Check out the descriptions of our choirs below and watch the bulletin for rehearsal dates.

Upcoming Events

Easter Sunday- All singers are invited to join with the Chancel Choir for the singing of the Hallelujah Chorus. We are also looking for string players.

Chancel Choir

A mixed-voice, adult choir, the Chancel Choir provides anthems for the Liturgical Communion Service as well as seasonal cantatas.
Rehearsals are held on Thursday's from 7:00-8:00pm.

Suite Inspirations

Suite Inspirations is a handchime ensemble open to all, both seasoned musicians and non-music readers. The chimes create a rich and joyful sound that draws the listener into the presence of God. 


Voice Male

Voice Male is expanding!  All men of the community,  who enjoy harmonizing together, are invited to join them for rehearsals starting up again in January 2013. Watch for more information or contact Kat Downs @ musikat00@hotmail.com for booking information.    


Youth Choirs

Music is  a part of LOGOS Youth Ministries. The children rehearse during worship skills on Wednesday nights and share their song offerings monthly throughout the school year.

Praise Team

The Praise Team is a called Music Ministry whose purpose is to lead the congregation in corporate worship at the Celebration Service.
